Gerber Technology has given us many assignments over the years to create the shapes of their innovative machines, which are primarily products for cutting and handling cloth, hide and film. In addition we created the corporate look, in color and form, for most of the products that the company sells worldwide to further their brand. The pioneering multi-ply fabric cutter shown in the picture is 16 feet long, 7 feet wide and 6 feet tall. People not only run the machine, but climb all over it in its operation. We were asked to design a skin for the machine that would be strong enough to survive in this environment as well as express the product’s state-of-the-art technology. It also had not only to be durable but produced at a cost that keeps the machine competitive in the marketplace.
